Overview

Odisha, formerly Orissa is an Indian state located in Eastern India. It is the 8th largest state by area, and the 11th largest by population. The state has the third largest population of Scheduled Tribes in India. It neighbours the states of West Bengal and Jharkhand to the north, Chhattisgarh to the west, Andhra Pradesh to the south, and a very negligible border with Telangana to the southwest.

Odisha has a coastline of 485 kilometres (301 mi) along the Bay of Bengal. The region is also known as Utkala and is mentioned in India's national anthem, "Jana Gana Mana".

ITINERARY

Day1

ARRIVE BHUBANESWAR

Arrive at Bhubaneswar Pickup and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon proceed to the Local visits Lingaraj Temple dedicated to Lord shiva built in the 11th century, proceed to Mukteswara temple built in the 10th century. Rest of the day evening is at leisure for individual activities. Also visit the Jain Caves, Khandagiri & Udayagiri – Overnight stay

Day2

BHUBANESWAR – JAIPUR – BHUBANESWAR

After breakfast Departure to Jaipur(100 Kms /2hrs) enroute visit very old jagannath culture of Chhattla on arrival at Jaipur visit Biraja Devi Temple (One of the Shakti Pithas of Asthadasa) in the bank of Baitarani River and it is called Navi Gaya. Later drive back to Bhubaneswar – Overnight stay Bhubaneswar

Day3

BHUBANESWAR – PURI – KONARK – PURI

After breakfast check out from the Hotel and proceed to puri (65 kms /1:30 hrs) enroute visit Dhauli. The battleground of Kalinga war during 3rd century BC, which transformed Emperor Ashoka into Dharmashoka. Later you will visit Konarak world heritage site. The temple chariot of the Sun God on the sands of Bay of Bengal. Later drive to Puri upon arrival and check into Hotel – Overnight stay

Day4

PURI – CHILIKA LAKE – BHUBANESWAR DROP

Early morning visit the Lord Jagannath temple and witness the Mangala Arti Darshan. After breakfast proceed to Chilika Lake to have the view of dolphins by boat cruise and departure to Bhuneshwar on arrival transfer to Airport / Railway station
