Overview

The Andaman Islands are an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal. These roughly 300 islands are known for their palm-lined, white-sand beaches, mangroves and tropical rainforests. Coral reefs supporting marine life such as sharks and rays make for popular diving and snorkeling sites. Indigenous Andaman Islanders inhabit the more remote islands, many of which are off limits to visitors.

ITINERARY

Day 1

CHENNAI – PORT BLAIR

Pickup from Port Blair Airport and transfer to Hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour. Visit Samudrika Museum , Fisheries Aquarium, the famous Cellular Jail, and Sound and light show at Cellular Jail, where the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought alive – Overnight stay

Day 2

PORT BLAIR – 03 ISLANDS (ROSS ISLAND, NPORTH BAY ISLAND & WIPER ISLAND)-PORT BLAIR

8:30 AM. Departure to North Bay (Place for Coral snorkeling and swimming), Ross Island from where the britishers governed the entire Andaman & Nicobar Islands prior to India independence and Viper Island ( Harbour Cruise). Evening shopping at Cottage Emporium – Overnight stay

Day 3

PORT BLAIR – HAVELOCK – PORT BLAIR

After breakfast proceed to Havelock Island Departure by Cruise from Port Blair to Havelock Island and visit Radha Nagar Beach – Overnight stay

Day 4

HAVELOCK – NEIL ISLAND

Morning departure from Havelock and proceed to Neil Island. Local sightseeing of Bharatpur Beach, Laxmanpur Beach, Howrah Bridge and Sitapur Beach – Overnight stay

Day 5

NEIL ISLAND – PORT BLAIR

After Breakfast proceed to Port Blair evening visit Chidya Tapu Sunset Beach - Overnight stay

Day 6

PORT BLAIR – BARATANG/RED SKIN/ JOLLY BAY ISLANDS – PORT BLAIR

After breakfast Proceed to Baratang Island or Red Skin Island or Joully Bay Island. Evening return to Port Blair - Overnight stay

Day 7

PORT BLAIR AIRPORT DROP

After Breakfast check out from Hotel and transfer to Port Blair Airport.

1. The famous jail of ‘Kala Pani’?
Cellular Prison, better known as ‘Kala Pani’, was the home of many activists and freedom fighters during the colonial period. Now it is a tourist spot and there are a light and sound show in the evening.
2. What is the language spoken in Andaman?
The official languages of the island are Hindi and English. Bengali is the most common spoken language. You will also find people speaking other languages like Tamil and Malayalam.
3. How is the nightlife in Andaman?
Sun rises and sets early in the Andaman Islands. Loud parties till the wee hours of the morning are not mainstream in these areas. You may find bars at the hotels and even DJ’s but the avenues will be restricted to Port Blair and Havelock islands.
4. How many days are sufficient to tour the Andaman Islands?
In a week long trip you can cover the main attractions and tourists islands on Andaman like Port Blair, Havelock and Neil island. If you wish to explore the various north and south islands then plan for a 10 day trip to Andaman.
